The location is perfect for exploring the nearby vineyards and bodegas, without being right in the busy town square. The staff here are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, with good beds for a restful night's sleep. The breakfast spread is impressive, with attention to detail and homemade specialties like delicious marmalade.
Everything was excellent and there's nothing that could be improved.

We absolutely loved the beautiful garden at Portal Del Santo. It was the perfect place to unwind and relax after a day of exploring Cafayate and its surroundings. The pool was also well-maintained and provided a refreshing escape. Despite some reviews suggesting otherwise, we found the pool to be in great condition with just a few petals and leaves floating in the water throughout the day, which is completely understandable.
Although our time in Cafayate was limited, we appreciated the quiet and comfortable atmosphere of the hotel. Unfortunately, we experienced some medical issues upon arrival, but Christof, one of the owners, went above and beyond to assist us.

Spending Christmas at this hotel was a dream come true. the beautiful garden and sparkling pool were the best aspects of our stay. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden after exploring the surrounding areas. the hotel's location was perfect and allowed us to walk to all the nearby attractions easily.
Hopefully, this is something that the hotel management can improve upon in the future.

We recently stayed in a hotel in the beautiful wine country of Argentina. The hotel was located in a quiet area close to the town centre, which made it perfect for exploring. Our host was very relaxed and welcoming, and the breakfast included lots of homemade goodies. We particularly enjoyed the delicious marmalade that was made by the host’s mum, and the lovely setting of the pool in the garden was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
While the hotel was great value and comfortable, we did notice that some of the bathroom fittings were in need of modernisation. It didn’t detract from our stay, however, and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this beautiful region.
